LIMITLESS WINTER HOLIDAY

SNOWY EXPERIENCES IN THE SKATING AREA KATSCHBERG

Winter at Katschberg – a vision in white all around our penthouse.

Your skiing holiday begins right on your doorstep. At Katschberg you have 70km of pistes to choose from. They are always covered either with natural or artificial snow and groomed each morning by a fleet of busy snowcats.

Modern gondola lifts, chairlifts and drag lifts ensure that you don’t lose any time ascending the mountains time and again. There’s something for everyone with pistes ranging from the “Direttissima” black piste to “Katschis Kinderwelt” for kids. And if you’re still buzzing with energy on a Thursday evening, you could go night skiing on the floodlit Königswiese piste.

And what would a winter holiday be without other outdoor activities? In addition to skiing, there are plenty of things you can do in the winter wonderland of Katschberg. Snow is the main ingredient! Horse-drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, winter hikes, horse-back trekking and cross-country skiing are some of the activities that provide variety on your winter holiday.

Skiing fun on your doorstep

Guaranteed snow and perfect slope maintenance are a top priority for the Katschbergbahnen and its owners, the Bogensperger family.

100% of the ski area can be covered with artificial snow, should Jack Frost decide to take a break. More than 700 modern snow lances and cannons ensure that the pistes are always white.

Thanks to a fleet of 14 environmentally friendly snow groomers, each morning you will be greeted with inviting, well-groomed pistes.

Katschberg has 70 kilometres of wonderful, wide pistes, most of which are moderately difficult, red pistes. But experienced, adventurous skiers can get their adrenalin rush from several black pistes such as the “Diretissima”, as well as from extra-long downhill runs like the 6 km “A1”.

Katschberg is also a very child-friendly ski area. “Katschis Kinderwelt” is a special piste just for children, with its own button lift. Colourful speaking figures motivate the little ones to learn how to ski.

The 16 modern ski lifts ensure that waiting times are kept to a minimum.

The skiing schools at Katschberg have something for all skill levels: from kids’ and beginner courses to advanced courses and private lessons. Skis and snowboards are available for hire if you don’t have your own.

The sport shops offer a wide range of practical and attractive skiwear, and almost all of them also have skis and boards for hire.

The many charming mountain restaurants serve traditional, local dishes as well as specialities from other countries. They offer the perfect atmosphere for a well-deserved break, and chances are you’ll even find new friends there.
